Grant Description
The FY 22 Xpress Program Grant projects include funds for the following items:
- Preventive maintenance
- Capital cost of contracting
- Regional vanpool program
- Regional mobility management
- Project administration
- Short range transit planning
This grant application requests federal FY 2018 and FY 2019 5307 Urbanized Area Formula funds in the amount of $7,029,424 and federal FY 2020 5337 High Intensity Motor Bus funds in the amount of $1,396,948 apportioned to the Atlanta Urbanized Area sub-allocated to the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority and transferred to the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority.
Per prior year applications, fare revenues from the vanpool service in Ali 11.71.12 vanpool capital cost of 3rd party contracting are coded as transportation development credits in the application budget. The eligible capital assistance activities are outlined in the project details of the application; ATL does not anticipate purchasing any capital equipment in excess of $5,000 using these funds.
The source of local match funding for Xpress related activities originates from state appropriations.
