Grant Description
Award Purpose: AmericaView will continue and expand a national network of StateView partners to drive progress in remote sensing and earth observation (RS EO) through education, outreach, workforce development, and technology transfer.
Activities to be performed: AmericaView, through its national network of StateView partners, will develop specialized tools and resources for educators, facilitate conferences and workshops, promote RS EO education across all learning levels and age groups, and foster collaboration between academic institutions, governmental entities, and the public.
Expected deliverables or outcomes: Improved usability and adoption deployment of RS EO products and applications. Increased number and visibility of graduating students with employment skills in remote sensing science. Expanded national network of StateView partners (currently 41).
Intended beneficiaries: Educators, students, and learners. Native and under-served communities. The public.
Subrecipient activities: StateViews currently in 41 states. Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
