Grant Description
Application Purpose: These funds will be used to assist the operation and maintenance of the St. Johns County Sunshine Bus Company's deviated fixed route and demand response services.
Activities Performed: Capital funds will be used to cover eligible expenses for one year of operating costs, preventive maintenance, grant administration (not related to operating costs), and bus replacements.
Expected Outcomes: This funding will permit the transit provider to meet preventive maintenance standards, continue to provide operations, and keep rolling stock in a state of good repair.
Intended Beneficiaries: Riders that rely on public transportation will benefit from continued service, permitting the workforce and individuals with disabilities to get to work and to activities that are necessary for everyday living.
Subrecipient Activities: N/A. St. Johns County is a direct recipient of these funds and contracts with the Sunshine Bus Company.
