Grant Description
This is an apportionment FY 2020 2021 Section 5339 application in the amount of $6,385,277 for Orlando Kissimmee UZA. FY 2020 - Orlando $2,731,855. FY 2020 - Kissimmee $568,421. FY 2021 - Orlando $2,566,104. FY 2021 - Kissimmee $518,897.

Purpose: The purpose of this award is to replace an old vehicle which are pass their useful life and beyond.

Activities to be performed: Funds will be used to purchase 9 new CNG buses and support 6 new electric buses.

Expected outcomes: LYNX plan to order the buses in December 2021 and expected to receive the new buses in November 2022. LYNX will have less breakdown and less repair cost. Also, transit riders will have reliable transit buses.

Subrecipient activities: None.

Funds will be utilize for revenue vehicles as follows:

1) ALI 11.12.01 - 9 CNG 40 replacement buses $5,087,318.
2) ALI 11.12.02 - 6 electric 35 replacement buses $1,297,959.

* Local share of 20% will be transportation development credits: $1,596,319. FDOT approval letter is attached in the TRAMS.

* LYNX is the designated recipient of Section 5339 program funds for the Orlando and Kissimmee UZAs.

* LYNX will ensure that all vehicles purchased are accessible purchased from an FTA approved TVM and reported to FTA within 30 days after contract is signed.

LYNX will check the current listing of transit vehicles manufacturers (TVMs) (https://www.transit.dot.gov/regulations-and-guidance/civil-rights-ada/eligible-tvms-list) to ensure each is listed as a certified TVM in compliance with FTA regulations.

LYNX will follow all 3rd party procurement policies as defined in C4220.1F. LYNX will ensure contractors procured will not be on the FTA suspension and debarment list.

LYNX declares that all its elements to be purchased under the grant will conform to the regional and national ITS architecture.

LYNX will comply with Buy America requirements.
