- Eight (8) operating assistance totaling $1,176,500 in FTA funds (ALI code 30.09.01)
- Three (3) mobility management totaling $174,400 in FTA funds (ALI code 11.7L.00)
The FDOT certifies that all grants were selected among all human service providers in the local area within each district. The FDOT certifies that the goals and objectives set to identify the projects were derived from the Human Services Coordination Plan.
Vehicles purchased will be ADA compliant unless a certification of equivalent service is filed. In accordance with 49 CFR Part 37, public entities operating demand responsive systems for the general public which receive financial assistance under 49 U.S.C. 5310 of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds must file a certification of equivalent service with the appropriate state program office before procuring any inaccessible vehicle. The district office will monitor and evaluate the subrecipients compliance with ADA requirements through site visits and file reviews. The FDOT shall ensure subrecipients comply with the following ADA requirements: one allowing service animals; two use of accessibility features; three public information/communications; four lift deployment at any designated stop; five service to persons using respirators or portable oxygen; and six adequate time for vehicle boarding and disembarking.
