Project Grant

Overview

Grant Description
Funds under this grant award will be used to support the administration of the Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) program in Georgia.

Funding will support staff salaries and administrative expenses for individuals within the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division (GADNR-CRD) who administer and support the BIG program.

This team will work with marinas, local city and county governments, and consultants to accomplish the goal of adding transient dockage and services for eligible recreational boaters transiting Georgia's coast.

Grant administration mandates include technical assistance, public procurement, contract management, and compliance.

GADNR-CRD continues to facilitate the investment of BIG funds into developing transient vessel facilities and educating the boating community about the opportunities provided by the program.

There is a steady demand for information and assistance from marinas across the coast, and the administration grant enables GADNR-CRD to extend itself further in those efforts.
