Cooperative Agreement
Overview
Grant Description
The funding obligated through this cooperative agreement supports DNREC's implementation of the 2023 Christina and Brandywine River Remediation, Restoration, and Resilience (CBR4) Plan (https: dnrec.delaware.gov waste-hazardous remediation watar CBR4).
DNREC applied for $6.3 million of Congressionally Directed Spending Request (CDS) funds in March 2023 and those funds were allocated to the Service in the spring of 2024.
The funding awarded was allocated through the Service's budget to be transferred in entirety to DNREC through this cooperative agreement.
The funding is allocated to the state through the account of the Service's Delaware Bay Coastal Program as a Service entity located and active in the state and because the Coastal Program is a partner substantially involved on the project.
The project aligns with the Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Restoration, and Coastal Resilience goals of the Service and specifically the Coastal Program.
