Overview
Grant Description
This program provides full or partial funding for eight programs operated by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) that support management of Yukon River salmon fisheries to achieve management objectives of the Yukon River Salmon Agreement, an annex of the Pacific Salmon Treaty between the United States and Canada.
ADF&G is the designated responsible management entity for the United States as established by the Yukon River Salmon Act (16 USC 5724) for the purposes of implementation of the Yukon River Salmon Agreement.
The eight projects are:
1) Eagle Sonar Operations
2) Lower Yukon Harvest Monitoring
3) Yukon River Stock Biology
4) Lower Yukon Test Fishery
5) Comprehensive Subsistence Surveys
6) Chinook Enhancement Outreach
7) Chinook Research and Assessment
8) Porcupine River Fall Chum Research.
