Grant Description
The purpose of the FY 2023 KO KO Monitoring and Natural History on DANO project is to monitor and support the effort to establish a self-sustaining KO KO population on DANO by gathering information necessary for the development of the KO KO recovery plan and to inform future Guam releases.

The project will document and map the distribution of KO KO on DANO, determine survival, activity patterns, and nest success of KO KO on DANO. The activities in the project include:

1. Playback surveys conducted quarterly to determine abundance and distribution of KO KO.
2. KO KO survival and distribution will be documented using telemetry. KO KO on DANO will be captured using live traps, measured, weighed, and fixed with transmitters prior to release.
