Grant Description
The Wind River RC: Ecotourism Visitors Center Component Project (EDA-APP# 00006679 Ecotourism) will implement the 1st phase of a two-phase construction project for an ecotourism complex.
The first phase will comprise both 1) a 5,500 square foot ecotourism headquarters building housing a museum, theater, gift shop, meeting rooms, restrooms, and a conference room and, 2) a 7,200 square foot storage garage for vehicles, boats, and cold storage.
These components will provide the co-recipients with the ability to receive a greater number of visitors and to promote tourism taking in the reservation's unique ecotourism attractions.

PHASE 1 OF THE COMPETITION IDENTIFIED FINALISTS THAT MADE A CLEAR CASE FOR THE NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES OF THEIR CHOSEN GEOGRAPHY AND SUCCESSFULLY ARTICULATED A PLAN TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS. PHASE 2 OF THE COMPETITION WILL MAKE IMPLEMENTATION AWARDS BASED ON THE LIKELIHOOD OF AN APPLICANT TO RAISE PRIME-AGE EMPLOYMENT AND WAGES, AND PROMOTE LONG-TERM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
