Grant Description
This EDA investment will provide road improvements to accommodate the expansion of regional agricultural processing in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
The city and county of Grand Forks are addressing the local and regional need for increased value-added agricultural processing by providing paved road access for a soybean processing facility.
The EDA road development project will create at least 15 high-paying jobs and $45.5 million in private investment, which will help increase economic resilience for this region by expanding domestic supply for soybean processing.
This project was made possible by the regional planning efforts led by the Red River Regional Council.
EDA funds Red River Regional Council to bring together the public and private sectors to create an economic development roadmap to strengthen the regional economy, support private capital investment and create jobs.
