Overview

Grant Description
Purpose: The purpose of this financial assistance award is to support construction to expand an industrial wastewater treatment plant in Burley, Idaho.

Activities to be performed: Gravity system: Installation of an approximately 12 feet diameter and 20 feet deep wet well, installation of an approximately 30-inch diameter pipe and force main, installation of approximately 7,200 linear feet of approximately 24-inch diameter pipe, installation of approximately 6,010 linear feet of 18-inch diameter pipe;

Lift station building: Construction of a building of approximately 22 feet long by 23 feet wide.

Lift station equipment: Installation of approximately three (3) 480-volt 40 horsepower pumps, vacuum priming pumps, variable frequency drives, S control panel, a transformer, and sub electrical panels;

Force main: Construction of a force main with 8,500 linear feet of 16-inch diameter pipe.

Expected outcomes: The improved infrastructure will contribute to the development of economic capacity in the region to support higher pay employment opportunities for its workforce.

Intended beneficiaries: Local business enterprises, community members.

Subrecipient activities: The recipient does not intend to make subawards.
