Grant Description
This EDA investment will support Phase Two water system improvements to rehabilitate the Village of Watkins Glen's water storage tank and pump station, while replacing water lines and making other water infrastructure improvements.
The project will be matched with $4,600,000 in local funds and is expected to create or retain 120 jobs, according to grantee estimates.
This project was made possible by the regional planning efforts led by the Southern Tier Central (STC) Regional Planning & Development Board.
EDA funds STC to bring together the public and private sectors to create an economic development roadmap to strengthen the regional economy, support private capital investment and create jobs.
