Grant Description
This investment will support the renovation of approximately 17,203 sq. ft. of leased space within an overall 113,000 sq. ft. campus, located at 50 Sims Avenue in Providence, RI.

401 Tech Bridge Advanced Materials and Technology Center with its full complement of lab facilities, flexible work and meeting space for training industry and community partners, promote collaboration between private businesses and public entities for the development of new technologies, products, and processes.

This Advanced Materials and Technology Center will assist companies in Rhode Island to bring advanced materials and manufacturing technologies, processes, and products to market faster and realize business expansions, attract new businesses to Rhode Island and surrounding region, and create an estimated 2,000 new jobs.
Funding Goals
SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS, AWARDS MADE UNDER THIS NOFO WILL HELP COMMUNITIES AND REGIONS DEVISE AND IMPLEMENT LONG-TERM ECONOMIC RECOVERY STRATEGIES THROUGH A VARIETY OF NON-CONSTRUCTION AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, AS APPROPRIATE, TO ADDRESS ECONOMIC CHALLENGES IN AREAS WHERE A PRESIDENTIAL DECLARATION OF A MAJOR DISASTER WAS ISSUED UNDER THE ROBERT T. STAFFORD DISASTER RELIEF AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE ACT (42 U.S.C. SECTION 5121 ET SEQ.) (STAFFORD ACT) "AS A RESULT OF HURRICANES IAN AND FIONA, AND OF WILDFIRES, FLOODING, AND OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS OCCURRING IN CALENDAR YEARS 2021 AND 2022...."
