Overview
Grant Description
Led by Central Wyoming College, the Investing in Human Capital component project will create pathways for workers, ages 25-54, to access good jobs by expanding workforce training aligned with the Wind River Recompete Plant's target sectors.
Located on the reservation for the first time, programs and certifications will include Adult Basic Education, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Management Technicians, Culinary Arts, ServSafe Food Handling, Customer Service, and Trail Building.
The project will help close existing labor gaps that have been expressed by employers in the service area as well as meet increased demand stemming from the implementation of the Wind River Coalition's Recompete Plan by connecting at least 540 students to good jobs.

PHASE 1 OF THE COMPETITION IDENTIFIED FINALISTS THAT MADE A CLEAR CASE FOR THE NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES OF THEIR CHOSEN GEOGRAPHY AND SUCCESSFULLY ARTICULATED A PLAN TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS. PHASE 2 OF THE COMPETITION WILL MAKE IMPLEMENTATION AWARDS BASED ON THE LIKELIHOOD OF AN APPLICANT TO RAISE PRIME-AGE EMPLOYMENT AND WAGES, AND PROMOTE LONG-TERM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
