Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
The NOPRC Workforce Development Project, led by Peninsula College (PC), aims to develop and expand workforce training in marine technology, natural resources, and the skilled trades that support these industries.
Partnering across training providers, this grant will bring natural resource sector job training to the Peninsula's most remote communities by removing employment barriers, providing short term learning opportunities and by bringing mobile training equipment to remote communities.
New offerings in marine technology, transportation-related certifications and entrepreneurship training will allow 470 prime age workers into high-wage, in-demand jobs.
