Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
This Tech Hubs Actualizing Career Pathways (ABC Pathways) investment aims to meet the talent needs of Wisconsin's emerging personalized health industry and the broader biohealth sector by providing expanded pathways to opportunity for the region's residents.
ABC Pathways will activate and coordinate a coalition of employers, postsecondary training providers, local workforce boards, labor unions, and community-based organizations.
Together, this coalition will act as a sectoral workforce intermediary, partnering with employers to align curriculum with current and future skills needs, expanding biohealth training pathways, including apprenticeships, and providing essential supports to trainees and workers.
Activities to be performed:
Align employer marketing, outreach, training, support service providers and government support by increasing participant awareness in regard to biohealth careers.
Build a "no-wrong-door" strategy in collaboration with employer technical assistance and awareness strategies for biohealth career and exploration activities, in response to current and future skills employers require.
Tackle training and employment by expanding college biohealth programs and develop new biohealth curricula for the industry-relevant credentials.
Create, scale, and adapt new and current training programs by expanding apprenticeships and other earn and learn models.
Support wraparound services for program participants.
