Overview
Grant Description
This EDA investment supports the transformational renovation of Bismarck's Keelboat Park into the Bismarck Riverfront Park and festival grounds along the Missouri River in North Dakota.
Through this Working Waterfronts project, the Northern Plains Heritage Foundation and Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation will construct new public infrastructure (sewer, water, parking lot) and buildings (offices, concessions, restrooms) that will make the City of Bismarck's Riverfront Master Plan a reality and an essential part of the region's economic diversification and economic resilience vision.
Extensive analysis projects this project will leverage a wide range of private and public partnerships to create more than 200 jobs and $80 million in private investment.
This project is supported by the regional planning efforts led by Lewis & Clark Development Group.
EDA funded the completion of the organization's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy to bring together the public and private sectors to create an economic development roadmap to strengthen the regional economy, support private capital investment and create jobs.
