Grant Description
This EDA investment will partner with the City of Vermillion, South Dakota, to facilitate wastewater treatment facility improvements that will increase resilience from natural disasters while providing additional capacity for future industrial expansion and job creation.
Wastewater treatment improvements will reduce reliance on electricity, reducing potential for damage, and increasing the ability for manufacturing and large employers to expand.
This project will benefit a distressed, persistent poverty county.

SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS, AWARDS MADE UNDER THIS NOFO WILL HELP COMMUNITIES AND REGIONS DEVISE AND IMPLEMENT LONG-TERM ECONOMIC RECOVERY STRATEGIES THROUGH A VARIETY OF NON-CONSTRUCTION AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, AS APPROPRIATE, TO ADDRESS ECONOMIC CHALLENGES IN AREAS WHERE A PRESIDENTIAL DECLARATION OF A MAJOR DISASTER WAS ISSUED UNDER THE ROBERT T.
