Title
Automated Fast-Modular Geophysical Monitoring Network for Carbon Storage Operations
Abstract
Statement of Problem: The global imperative to reduce atmospheric CO2 emissions necessitates advanced, efficient, and cost-effective geophysical monitoring solutions. This project targets the unmet need for integrated, scalable monitoring within Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), crucial for environmental integrity and public safety. Approach: TerraDAC Technologies proposes an innovative, turn-key geophysical monitoring service designed for CCUS applications. This service combines cutting-edge gravity-based monitoring with a suite of geophysical techniques, aimed at minimizing surface disruption and optimizing cost-efficiency and scalability. Phase I Objectives: The initial phase focuses on developing the TerraStinger system, a comprehensive sensor array for dynamic subsurface monitoring. We will refine design specifications, estimate fabrication costs, and lay the groundwork for Phase II implementation, ensuring the system's adaptability to varying CCUS project needs. Commercial Applications and Benefits: The TerraStinger system will provide significant advancements in environmental monitoring for carbon storage, enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Its scalable design and comprehensive data analysis capabilities will support widespread adoption, benefiting sectors from energy to environmental services, particularly in underserved and tribal communities.
