Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL): LIFSI: Electrolyte Salt Production Facility
The objective is to build a 10kt commercial scale facility for the domestic production of LIFSI (Lithium (Bis) Fluorosulfonyl Imide – LIN (SO2F)2) to supply the domestic production of LIBs.
The new state-of-the-art facility is expected to be co-located at the existing Honeywell property in Geismar, Louisiana.
The new lithium salt plant is expected to be the first domestic production facility for LIFSI.
