Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL): The Smart Grid Project - Deploying Smart Grid Technology to Enhance America’s Resilient Grid
The objectives of this award will enhance grid reliability and resilience, increase efficiency, and support clean energy adoption through advanced technologies and analytics.
Deployment areas include smart grid technologies, dynamic line rating (DLR), and advanced data analytics (ADA).
Technologies to be deployed, including reclosers, capacitor banks, voltage regulators, and sensors, will support real-time monitoring, control, and automation of the electric system leading to improved reliability and facilitating integration of distributed energy resources and increased capacity.
