Grant Description
Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) - Grid Resilience and Innovative Partnerships (GRIP) - Improving energy and economic resilience in a remote, Arctic community.
This project will contribute to energy resilience in a rural, disadvantaged, tribal community by reducing the cost per kWh, lowering maintenance and operations costs, and leveraging locally sourced renewables, including wind, solar, and hydro.
The environmental benefits include reducing diesel fuel use, as well as corresponding carbon emissions.
The project will be delivered in collaboration with project partners and communities, utilizing broad technical, economic, financial, and project management expertise that maximizes stakeholder engagement, workforce development, and community benefits.
