Cooperative Agreement
Overview
Grant Description
Demonstration of biomass and waste controlled feed system for entrained flow gasification in the production of net-zero hydrogen.
The project objective is to establish a viable pathway to produce net-zero hydrogen at a cost of one dollar per kilogram through biomass and waste gasification in consistency with the Department of Energy's Hydrogen Energy Earthshot Initiative.
By developing and conducting a pilot demonstration of a novel feedforward gasifier feed control system to maximize the effective syngas yield and ultimately the clean hydrogen yield from the conversion of mixed biomass and waste feedstocks.
