Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) demonstrating the techno-economic viability of automated characterization and sorting of batteries within e-waste.
The objective of the project is to demonstrate automated sorting techniques capable of a greater than 25 percent improvement in total dollars per ton to preprocess batteries by chemistry.
The team will achieve this by creating a sorting prototype using artificial intelligence and an automation platform.
