Grant Description
The city of Evanston is launching an affordable solar program to improve access to the benefits of solar power to low-income residents. This program will install at least 20 residential solar projects for low-income residents while reducing the citywide carbon footprint.
This program is part of a larger affordable housing retrofit project led by the city of Evanston and local community partners. As a result of the solar installations, participants will experience a reduced energy burden.
Throughout the process, at least 200 Evanston residents will learn about the benefits of rooftop solar.
