Energy improvements in Rhode Island schools.
Funding Goals
TO REDUCE ENERGY COSTS, AND INCREASE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND COMFORT FOR BUILDING OCCUPANTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES IN RHODE ISLAND. THE REDUCED AND MORE EFFICIENT ENERGY CONSUMPTION WILL HELP REDUCE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS CONSISTENT WITH RHODE ISLAND 2021 ACT ON CLIMATE, WHICH ESTABLISHES MANDATORY AND ENFORCEABLE, ECONOMY-WIDE GHG REDUCTION TARGETS CULMINATING IN NET ZERO BY 2050.
