This application utilizes CARES Act funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to Coronavirus. This grant applies for $5,915,431 in CARES Act funds to support the projects included in this application by the following UZA apportionments:

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT) is hereby submitting this grant application in support of the following projects:

1. Operating Assistance

This grant is requesting $4,979,549 of FFY20 Federal Section 5311-5 CARES Act funds to support the operating assistance for the period of January 20, 2020, through September 30, 2021:

- Operating expenses - Salaries and benefits - $1,961,741
- Operating expenses - Fuel - $696,942
- Operating expenses - Purchase transportation - $1,433,551
- Operating expenses - Intercity operating assistance - $887,315

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM) - Equipment and Facilities

The grant applies $935,882 of FFY20 Federal Section 5311-5 CARES Act funds for PM for the period between January 20, 2020, and September 30, 2021. The recipient agrees that if it receives federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or through a pass-through entity through the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, a different federal agency, or insurance proceeds for any portion of a project activity approved for FTA funding under this grant agreement, it will provide written notification to FTA and reimburse FTA for any federal share that duplicates funding provided by FEMA, another federal agency, or an insurance company.
