APPLICATION PURPOSE: PURPOSE OF THE AWARD IS TO REPLACE BUSES WHICH HAVE REACHED THE END OF THEIR USEFUL LIFE.; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PROCUREMENT OF HYBRID ELECTRIC BUSES REPLACEMENT.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: PROJECT WILL ENSURE BUSES ARE REPLACED IN ACCORDANCE WITH USEFUL LIFE STANDARDS DEFINED IN FTAS CIRCULAR 5010.1F AND THE TIMELY REPLACEMENT OF BUSES TO PROVIDE BUS RIDERS WITH SAFE AND RELIABLE TRANSIT SERVICE.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: CUSTOMERS WHO COMMUTE WITHIN OR CONNECT TO PUBLIC TRANSIT WITH THE WASHINGTON-ARLINGTON DC-VA-MD URBANIZED AREA.; SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: THERE ARE NO SUBRECIPIENTS.
Funding Goals
THE LOW OR NO EMISSION COMPETITIVE PROGRAM PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OR LEASE OF ZERO-EMISSION AND LOW-EMISSION TRANSIT BUSES AS WELL AS ACQUISITION CONSTRUCTION AND LEASING OF REQUIRED SUPPORTING FACILITIES.
