Grant Description
Application purpose: Construction of the Grand Valley Transit (GVT) fleet maintenance facility to be used to maintain the GVT buses for fixed-route and paratransit service.
Activities performed: The construction of the GVT fleet maintenance facility and costs directly from the CM/GC contract for the construction of the facility.
Expected outcomes: Provide a transit-specific maintenance facility for GVT fixed-route and paratransit service buses that will allow GVT to maintain its aging fleet, increase service performance, improve resiliency, and reduce the cost of maintenance overall.
Intended beneficiaries: Mesa County riders including the elderly and disabled who use transit service to access employment, education, medical, shopping, and personal trips.
Subrecipient activities: None.
