Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this application is to purchase eight (8) battery electric buses and associated charging equipment and infrastructure.
Activities Performed: This grant application currently includes two scope activities: 1) purchase of battery electric buses 2) acquisition design and installation of charging equipment and infrastructure.
Expected Outcomes: Transfort's fleet will remain in a state of good repair as these buses will replace CNG buses that have reached the end of their useful life. Additionally, Transfort will move further towards their goal of a 100% zero emission fleet.
Intended Beneficiaries: Transfort riders will benefit from the high-level of service being provided. The communities surrounding transit routes will benefit from the reduction of particulate matter in the air as a result of deploying zero emission vehicles.
