Grant Description
Purpose: CDOT applies for FFY2021 Section 5339(a) Rural Formula Funds for rolling stock projects in Colorado rural areas totaling $3,407,977 (partial apportionment). A portion ($16,286) of the FFY21 apportionment was obligated in Grant CO-2021-045-00. The remaining amount of $75,737 will be obligated in a future grant.

Activities to be performed: This application includes one project to purchase vehicles for replacement and expansion.

Expected outcomes: The selected projects will support the continuation and state of good repair for public transportation services in rural Colorado.

Intended beneficiaries: Transit riders in rural Colorado.

Subrecipient activities:
- Eagle County serving Lake and Eagle Counties
- Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteers serving Chaffee County
- Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) serving Eagle, Garfield, and Pitkin Counties
- Snowmass Village serving Pitkin County
- Huerfano/Las Animas Area Council of Governments serving Huerfano, Las Animas, and Pueblo Counties
- Montrose County Senior Citizens Transportation Inc. serving San Miguel, Delta, Montrose, and Ouray Counties
- Clear Creek County serving Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties.

This grant uses pre-award authority for contracting purposes, but no expenses have been incurred yet.
