Grant Description
Community project funding/Congressionally directed spending - construction - Charleston Area Medical Center seeks funding for the construction of a medical office building on the campus of Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
The construction cost for this building is $7,516,000.
This physician office building will house local hospital-based physician practices that are currently scattered throughout Greenbrier County.
We anticipate this building to be a one-story 20,000 square foot facility with a modern exterior.
Greenbrier County is an underserved area medically with physicians located in offices spread throughout the county.
By locating these hospital-based physicians on campus and in one building, CAMC will be assisting patients as they navigate the current healthcare systems.
Not only will there be convenience of location, but all other services will be close at hand, i.e., pharmacy, lab, radiology.
This new medical office building will house not only existing doctors but will give CAMC the ability to include specialty doctors much needed in the area.
Specialties like urology, neurology, cardiology, and gastroenterology will be accessible to the community as well as having the opportunity to grow these specialties and sub-specialties.
This new building will allow CAMC to incorporate state of the art technologies to support these specialties.
