Grant Description
APPLICATION PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AWARD IS TO: A) PURCHASE 49 REPLACEMENT BUSES FOR FIXED ROUTE SERVICE; AND B) IMPLEMENT WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS PERTAINING TO BUS MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS.; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: FUNDS WILL BE USED TO COVER THE COSTS OF: A) 49 REPLACEMENT BUSES RELATED EQUIPMENT SPARE PARTS AND LABOR; AND B) WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS PERTAINING TO BUS MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: FUNDING WILL: A) PROVIDE 49 NEW CNG BUSES AND KEEP BUS ROLLING STOCK IN A STATE OF GOOD REPAIR; AND B) ALLOW IMPLEMENTATION OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS PERTAINING TO BUS MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: SACRAMENTO AREA TRANSIT RIDERS; SACRT BUS OPERATIONS AND BUS MAINTENANCE.; SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: NONE

THE LOW-NO PROGRAM PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OR LEASE OF ZERO-EMISSION AND LOW-EMISSION TRANSIT BUSES INCLUDING ACQUISITION CONSTRUCTION AND LEASING OF REQUIRED SUPPORTING FACILITIES SUCH AS RECHARGING REFUELING AND MAINTENANCE FACILITIES.
