Grant Description
Application purpose: This application is to purchase six (6) low floor 35-foot battery-electric buses, one FAAC training simulator, and consulting services from CTE.
Activities performed: Funds will be used to purchase six (6) low floor 35-foot battery-electric buses, one FAAC training simulator, and consulting services from CTE.
Expected outcomes: Transitioning to battery-electric buses will reduce the SMRT's operating budgets by as much as $300,000 annually in maintenance and diesel fuel costs.
The training simulator will improve training for operators.
Intended beneficiaries: SMRT riders will benefit from the activities in this grant as operational costs to maintain the service permitting riders to go to work and other destinations.
Subrecipient activities: None.
