Grant Description
Application purpose: Design and construct a hydrogen fueling station.
Design and construct facility upgrades to accommodate FCEBs.
Provide workforce training and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of both the fueling station and FCEB buses and purchase five (5) FCEB buses.
Activities performed: This grant will provide funding for project management and technical support.
Design and construction management.
Design and construction of a hydrogen fueling station.
Design and construction of facility upgrades.
Workforce training.
The purchase of five (5) FCEB buses and equipment necessary to operate FCEBs and hydrogen fueling station.
Expected outcomes: By replacing aging fleet vehicles with the New Flyer FCEBs, GCTD will improve both route efficiency and provide direct air quality benefits to the surrounding community.
Intended beneficiaries: This project will directly mitigate climate change impacts, reduce pollution emissions, and provide jobs to disadvantaged communities in GCTD's service area and to the community as a whole.
