Application Purpose: The funding requested in this Section 165 grant supplants the non-CIG matching funds of $59583554 in grant ID# CA-2019-170 Westside Purple Line Extension Section 3 - FFGA. It does not duplicate the federal funding for any activities in grant ID# CA-2019-170. Specifically this Section 165 additional capital investments grant supplants the amount of non-CIG funding for the following activities per the FTA scope activity line item as follows: 14.01.10 Guideway Track Elements: $31000000 and 14.02.20 Stations Stops Terminals Intermodal: $28583554.
Activities Performed: Specifically this CIG Section 165 funding supplants the amount of local share (non-CIG funds) in grant ID# CA-2019-170 for the following activities per the FTA scope activity line item as follows: 14.01.10 Guideway Track Elements: $3100000014.02.20 Stations Stops Terminals Intermodal: $28583554Total: $59583554.
Expected Outcomes: The WPLE3 consists of the design and construction of approximately 2.56 miles of a double-track heavy rail underground transit system in the City of Los Angeles and unincorporated Los Angeles County. It will have two new stations -Westwood/UCLA and Westwood/VA Hospital. It is the third and final section of a planned three section nine-mile extension of the Metro Purple Line to Westwood/VA Hospital.
Intended Beneficiaries: Populace of the LACMTA transit service area and local area commuters.
Subrecipient Activities: LACMTA does not intend to subaward funds.
