Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to apply $5000000 in FY22 Section 22-CMPJ-1 funds toward the acquisition of property to support the construction of the Inglewood Transit Connector (ITC).
Activities Performed: Funds will be used toward the acquisition of property for the proposed future Prairie Avenue/Manchester Boulevard Station.
Expected Outcomes: Funding of $5000000 will add to Measure R funds used to acquire the property. Acquisition of the entire property is required for the construction and operation of the ITC project.
Intended Beneficiaries: Transit riders in the region will benefit from the 1.6-mile ITC that will connect the city's new housing and entertainment center to the expanding Metro system. It is projected to create approximately 500-700 direct construction jobs and over 10000 indirect jobs throughout the region.
Subrecipient Activities: All activity performed under this grant was performed by LACMTA's subrecipient, the City of Inglewood. The activity includes the acquisition of property for which title transfer was complete 12/16/2022.
