Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to support capital costs for ADA paratransit service in Orange County, California in addition to transit capital projects for the Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN).
Activities Performed: The grant will support the purchase of up to 41 replacement gasoline paratransit vehicles (6900 series Eldorado buses) and support transit capital projects including bus lifts and a ladder for the Anaheim Transportation Network.
Expected Outcomes: This grant will provide funding to ensure OCTA can continue to provide transit mobility and access to the Orange County community with physical or cognitive limitations that prevent them from utilizing the public fixed-route bus service. In addition, it aims to improve air quality and provide reliable transit service. It also provides ATN the ability to lift 60 buses for service as well as others also work on top of buses.
Intended Beneficiaries: The beneficiaries are the Orange County community with physical or cognitive limitations that prevent them from utilizing the public fixed-route bus service. In addition, the improvements to air quality will benefit all residents of Orange County.
Subrecipient Activities: OCTA is suballocating $124,959 in funds to Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN).
