Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to secure funds for capital activities to keep NCTD's assets in a state of good repair according to the Transit Asset Management Plan (TAM).
Activities Performed: This grant will fund the planning, design, and construction activities associated with NCTD facilities and right-of-way. It will also fund the rebuild and overhaul of rail vehicles. Activities also include the procurement and replacement of information technology hardware and software, as well as other equipment. Included in this grant application are funds used to cover all eligible PM operating expenses, supplies, materials, labor services, and associated costs required to preserve or extend the functionality and serviceability of the rail fleet and maintenance facilities assets in a cost-effective manner.
Expected Outcomes: Funding will permit North County Transit District to build an integrated transit system that enables our customers to travel easily and efficiently throughout our growing region and to keep our assets in a state of good repair.
Intended Beneficiaries: San Diego North County general public and local area commuters.
Subrecipient Activities: The recipient does not intend to sub-award funds.
