Grant Description
This application is to request FY2021 Section 5307 funds apportioned to the Antioch UZA in the amount of $3,599,872. This application is also to request FY2021 Section 5339 funds apportioned to the Antioch UZA in the amount of $1,008,128.

Purpose:
The purpose of this grant is to request the federal funding necessary to replace eight (8) 40-ft heavy-duty transit buses used in fixed-route (MB-PT) revenue service that have exceeded their useful life. Please see attached vehicle information to confirm replacement eligibility.

Activities to be performed:
The recipient plans to procure eight buses to replace revenue vehicles that have exceeded their useful life.

Expected outcomes:
This will allow the recipient to retire eight vehicles that have exceeded their useful life and deploy new replacement vehicles in a state of good repair.

Intended beneficiaries:
Residents of Eastern Contra Costa County, California will benefit from safe and reliable transit provided by the new vehicles.

Subrecipient activities:
The recipient does not intend to sub-award funds.

This application is to apply for Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program and Section 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities Formula Program funding to replace eight (8) 40-ft heavy-duty transit buses used in fixed-route (MB-PT) revenue service that have exceeded their useful life. These funds were allocated to ECCTA by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). MTC has provided a concurrence letter that is included as an attachment to this application.
