Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this grant is to fund the procurement of zero-emission - battery electric buses (BEB) and associated charging infrastructure and workforce development.
Activities performed: The activities to be performed includes the purchase of zero-emission buses, installation of fueling/battery electric infrastructure, and development of workforce training programs.
Expected outcomes: The expected outcomes include reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality, and reduced energy consumption by replacing standard vehicle propulsion technologies with more fuel-efficient battery electric buses.
Intended beneficiaries: The intended beneficiaries are the transit passengers and operators who will be utilizing new vehicles and equipment to operate and/or ride public transit.
Subrecipient activities: The City of Phoenix does not intend to subaward funds.
