Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of the award is to provide funding for the purchase of replacement and expansion vehicles, mobility management, preventive maintenance, dual cameras for vehicles, and operating assistance.
Activities Performed: Activities to be performed are the purchase of replacement and expansion vehicles, preventive maintenance, mobility management, dual cameras for vehicles, and operating assistance.
Expected Outcomes: The expected outcomes are the purchase of the expansion and replacement vehicles, preventive maintenance, mobility managers salaries who coordinate for the region, and operating assistance for programs who are for the intended beneficiaries.
Intended Beneficiaries: The intended beneficiaries of the funding include the elderly and persons with disabilities throughout the Phoenix-Mesa Urbanized Area.
Subrecipient Activities: The designated recipient City of Phoenix will sub-award funds to the following 24 subrecipients for the purchase of replacement and expansion vehicles, preventive maintenance, mobility management, and operating assistance: ACCEL, Arizona Recreation Center for the Handicapped (ARCH), Aster Aging, Beatitudes, Central Arizona Council on Developmental Disabilities (CACDD), Chandler Gilbert ARC, City of Glendale, Civitan Foothills Caring Corps (FCC), Foundation for Senior Living (FSL), Gompers, Hacienda Inc., Independence Plus, MARC Community Resources (DBA COPA Health), NAU Center for Service and Volunteerism, One Step Beyond, Rise Services, Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitation Services (STARS), Southern Arizona Association for the Visually Impaired (SAAVI), The Centers for Habilitation (TCH), United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona (UCP), Valley Metro/RPTA, Valley of the Sun YMCA, and Valleylife. The selected projects for Section 5310 program being applied for in this grant application are included in the locally developed Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan. The current plan MAG Human Services Coordinated Transportation Plan revised January 2022.
