Overview

Grant Description
Application Purpose: These funds will be used for MPO planning and program assistance.

Activities Performed: These funds will support the MPO's program and administration, general development and comprehensive planning, long-range transportation planning, short-range planning, transportation improvement programs, and provide technical assistance.

Expected Outcomes: The funds will support the MPO planning activities approved in the UPWP and allow ARDOT administrative staff to provide technical assistance to the MPOs. These funds will also support the MPO's comprehensive, cooperative, and continuing planning program, technical assistance planning activities, and help make transportation investment decisions for the community.

Intended Beneficiaries: MPOs and the populace of the areas they serve.

Subrecipient Activities: These federal funds are awarded to the following MPOs to complete approved UPWP planning activities:

1. Metroplan (CARTS UPWP)
2. Frontier Metropolitan Planning Organization
3. Northeast AR Regional Transportation Planning Commission (Jonesboro JATS)
4. Northwest AR Regional Planning Commission (NARTS)
5. Southeast AR Regional Planning Commission (PBATS)
6. Tri-Lakes Metropolitan Planning Organization (HSATS)
7. Texarkana Metropolitan Planning Organization (TUTS)
8. West Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization (WMATS)
