Grant Description
This application is to request Rural Section 5339 FFY2021 and 2022 funds apportioned to the Arkansas State in the amount of $5,206,600. ARDOT is requesting FFY 2021 total apportionment amount of $3,500,000 and FFY 2022 partial apportionment amount of $1,706,600. FFY 2022 remaining balance is $2,293,400 and will be requested at a later time through a grant amendment.

Purpose:
The purpose of this award is to provide funding to purchase capital rolling stock bus support equipment and other capital items for Arkansas rural transit agencies.

Activities to be performed:
Funding will go towards rolling stock bus support equipment and other capital items, which includes cameras to be installed on rolling stock.

Expected outcomes:
These funds will help the agencies continue to enhance and sustain reliable transit services, reduce unscheduled repairs, and provide a more productive and safe working environment.

Intended beneficiaries:
Approval of these funds will continue to improve safe, efficient, and reliable ridership for rural areas.

Subrecipient activities are listed in the attached POP. All replacement vehicles have met useful life prior to disposition. VINs #s, year, age, mileage, make, and model for replacement vehicles are in the attached POP. Certification of equal access forms are signed by agencies requesting vehicles without lifts.

Local match source:
($1,301,655) will come from cash Medicaid and rental car tax funds.
