Grant Description
Ardot is applying for the total rural apportionment of FFY 2020 Section 5339 federal funds in the amount of $3,500,000 for capital items. Purpose of the award, expected outcomes, intended beneficiaries, and activities to be performed: This award will go towards purchasing capital rolling stock and bus support equipment. These funds will help to enhance and sustain reliable transit services and reduce unscheduled repairs. This project will continue to improve the rural transit system's efficiency and reliability. Overall, this award will help to maintain and improve the use of public transportation in rural areas, benefiting the agencies and riders. Subrecipient activities: Central AR Development Council DBA: South Central Arkansas Transit (CADC DBA: SCAT) - Replace buses (11) and vans (6). CADC DBA: SCAT - Telephone systems, overhead doors, desktop computers. Eureka Springs Transit - Replace trolley (1) and truck (1). Eureka Springs Transit - Bus stop benches. Mid-Delta Transit - Replace buses (2) and vans (3). North Arkansas Transit Service - Replace vans (14). North Arkansas Transit Service - Desktop computers, laptops, monitors, software, cameras, car hauler trailer, Zonar units, and support vehicle (1). Southeast Arkansas Transit - Replace buses (10) and vans (9). Southeast Arkansas Transit - Cameras and waste oil heater. All replacements will have met useful life prior to disposition. VINs for replacement vehicles are in the attached POP. Certification of equal access forms are signed by agencies requesting vehicles without lifts. Local match source: 20% ($875,002) cash Medicaid and rental car tax funds.
