Overview
Grant Description
The goal of this program is to conduct large-scale field trials to demonstrate the impact of utilizing new therapeutic compounds (OXYTETRACYCLINE, GIBBERELLIC ACID, 2,4-D, and BRASSINOSTEROIDS) to promote the health and productivity of the existing inventory of citrus trees in Florida.
These field trials and demonstration projects will then continue to be monitored over the next three (3) years to determine overall efficacy, with the potential to develop and recommend future best management practices for an HLB environment across Florida.
This will be achieved by treating up to 10,000 acres of bearing citrus and evaluating the impact on fruit volume, fruit retention, and other agronomic characteristics over at least 3 years.
