Purpose:
The purpose of this grant will be to provide state administration, project administration, operations, and preventive maintenance assistance for rural transit agencies in the state of Alaska.
Activities to be Performed:
Section 5311 formula funds will be used for project administration, operating assistance, and preventive maintenance for rural subrecipients, as well as direct and indirect state administration funding for AKDOT.
Expected Outcomes:
Improve transportation through education, planning, and structure.
Intended Beneficiaries:
Bethel, Juneau, Sitka, Sterling, Kasilof, Soldotna, Girdwood, Glennallen, Ketchikan, Anchorage, Craig, Klawock, Kodiak, Willow, Mat-Su.
Subrecipient Activities:
Subrecipients will provide continued operation of public transportation systems.
