Overview
Grant Description
This grant represents $4,992,800 of the federal apportionment available in the FY2021 Section 5337 State of Good Repair Formula Funds for the Anchorage UZA. These funds will be used for design/engineering bridge replacement or bridge rehabilitation and associated project administration.
By executing this grant, we certify that projects funded in this grant are included in the 2018 TAM Plan Investment Prioritization.
Purpose:
The purpose of this grant is to fund design/engineering and bridge replacement and/or rehabilitation to ensure bridges are maintained in a state of good repair system-wide.
Activities to be performed:
The following activities will be performed:
- Bridge engineering/design
- Bridge rehabilitation
- Bridge replacements and improvements
Expected outcomes:
The expected outcome of this grant is to keep bridges in a state of good repair for continued rail operation.
Intended beneficiaries:
The Alaska Railroad Corporation and the riders that rely on its service will benefit from continued services.
Subrecipient activities:
There are no subrecipient activities associated with this grant.
