Description:
This agreement provides funding for the operation of the US Virgin Island Department of Planning and Natural Resources' (USVIDPNR) continuing environmental programs while giving it greater flexibility to address its highest environmental priorities, improve environmental performance, achieve administrative savings, and strengthen the partnership between USVI DPNR and EPA. This agreement funds state continuing environmental programs for air, water, pesticides, and data quality.
Activities:
This agreement funds statewide programs to protect and improve water quality on a watershed basis and ensure safe drinking water.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
This workplan anticipates deliverables associated with managing continuing environmental programs, such as the development of quality assurance project plans, territorial pollutant discharge elimination systems, beach water quality reports, conduct sanitary survey and compliance in public water systems, inspections reports in all the programs, among others. The work also includes outputs and outcomes associated with managing such programs, which include activities to protect and maintain water quality, air, as well as compliance with pesticides application. Direct beneficiaries of this program are the citizens of US Virgin Islands.
